About

The SEIWA AKOTO Collection is a Montreal-based Handmade Accessories line inspired by Afrobeats Music, African Culture & symbolism, and Style.

The Seiwa Akoto name of the line was inspired by a popular 1960's Ghanaian highlife song by Yamoah called "Serwa Akoto", and the Afropop/Afrofunk era of the 1960's.

Drawing from the name 'Serwa' which means 'Noble woman', the line focuses on statement pieces that exude a subtle confidence while drawing influences from sophisticated vintage and modern style icons, cultural symbolism and Afrobeats music from the continent of Africa.

The current collection features jewelry, African print scarves and waistbeads.
